My first experience with a gecko started something like this: My girlfriend and I were sitting on the lanai on our first morning on Kauai with a cup of coffee in hand, still sleepy from the flight over, when suddenly a flash of green registered on the fringes of my vision. I looked over, paused for a second, then leaped from my chair, screaming gleefully "GECKO!!!," scaring the hell out of my girlfriend and probably half the neighborhood. I the proceeded to photography the little guy for the better part of an hour. I love geckos!
