A verdant jewel of a creek winds its way through Oregon's high desert country near the Nevada border. We stopped off at this creek on the way home from mining sunstones near Adel, Oregon and were in awe of the life that sprung up here amidst the subdued desert. While we were relaxing, we came across several animals, including rattlesnakes and river otters that didn't even seem wary of people.
