As the sun started to sink below the horizon, the golden light of sunset turned a rosy magenta, softly painting the ocean and rocks with the most delicate of hues. I knew I didn't have a lot of time to scramble back up the rocks to the trail before it got dark, but I kept on anyway, transfixed by the light. As I slowly made my way back, I kept seeing one particular rock being hammered by powerful waves and so I decided to hang back for a few more moments, in hopes that I could get a shot like this.
